I’ve done that at approx 1:41and hitting play/pause quickly I can clearly see one foot on the OOB even in this video. However in my DVR copy they show the facing run and it’s even more distinct. Regardless it’s always been my opinion that any part the the players body or the ball touches the OOB line–that’s it–dead play. Too bad they don’t get some infrared beams in use, break the beam no question as to oob or not.

2-11 ,Can you say championship? Yes

  4. DougMcHead Says:

yes you can pause the video just at the moment in question and manually scroll it back and forth you will clearly see green blade of grass sticking up on both sides of both feet.

  5. aprilxf Says:

I disagree you can’t see it in this side view but in the facing view they replayed on TV you can clearly see the last 2 steps one foot OOB then in the next stride the foot hits the cone. Either way the wishy-washy touchdowns are ridiculous.

  6. Musclebe Says:

    steelers fucking suck

  7. DougMcHead Says:

His foot was not out of bounds look again it clearly showed green on both sides of both feet as he ran down the sidelines. And the rule is clear a player running only has to have his feet or foot cross the goal line or pylon to score a touch down. If the player is in the air the ball has to break the goal line in the field of play.

I don’t watch all the Steeler games, I’m a GB fan, so I really can’t comment on games with questionable officiating I haven’t actually seen. IMHO a touchdown should be the ball and part of the player in the endzone at least shoulders to the ball with NONE of the player OOB, none of this ball just breaking the plane crap. It would make getting a touchdown much more difficult, but would also weed out the some of the most questionable touchdowns.

Playoffs? The Stealers might want to think about practice first.

Oh, like the Steelers have never benefited from Questionable/Stupid/Biased Officiating. GIMME A BREAK!

  17. aprilxf Says:

It still isn’t a touchdown when you replay the video from the endzone out -which the video here only show the side view his right foot clearly is OOB, then his left foot hits the cone. Right foot OOB striking the cone OOB=no touchdown.

  18. aprilxf Says:

Runners feet in end zone. If a non-airborne runner gets a foot or both feet inside the pylon and continues to run past the goalline, rule a touchdown. It is a touchdown if the ball penetrates the goalline plane extended out of bounds. It is not important how the runner is carrying the ball or which hand it is in, as long as it is in his possession.

  19. DougMcHead Says:

like they sadi that rule only applies to an airborne player. If he is running on the ground his foot hits the pylon and score counts only if the player is in the air does the ball itself have to cross the goal line.

  20. DougMcHead Says:

Look again at the reason why they scored it a touch down. he was still in his running motion when his foot caught the pylon he was pushed out of bounds just after his foot hit it, they ruled a touchdown for the forward momentum and push. They even clearly said ti after they reviewed it. the refs made a good call for a change

  21. aprilxf Says:

Runner touches the pylon. If any part of the runners body first touches the pylon, you must know where the ball is in relationship to the goalline. By rule, such touching puts the player out of bounds and causes the ball to become dead. If the ball is still over the field of play, that is the dead-ball spot. If the ball has penetrated the goalline plane when the runner touches the pylon, the result is a score.

  22. aprilxf Says:

As a Packer fan I’d be embarrassed as a Browns fan for actually accepting the credit for the Jennings “touchdown.” Look up the Cone rules in no way shape or form was that a touchdown.
